Steven + Emma - MN Spring Engagement

I got to take my brother-in-law and FUTURE sister-in-law’s engagement photos and I CAN’T handle their cuteness. Seriously, I love these two so much and can’t wait for them to start the rest of their lives together! I was so honored to take these photos — their energy together is truly contagious and I know they are going to have an amazing life. It isn’t often that you get a couple that doesn’t need guidance around posing and these two just have a level of connection that was so easy to photograph and left us laughing for a majority of the session. Stevie + Emma — I love you both and thank you for letting me capture these moments of you two!

Chris + Emily - Wisconsin Proposal

Chris and Emily are close friends of ours! My husband (also named Chris) and Chris have known each other since high school. Emily quickly fell into our very crazy, sarcastic, and adventurous friend group, and we couldn’t love her more! Chris asked me to take photos of his proposal to Emily, and I immediately said yes. He has known that this location was going to be his proposal spot for years and our entire friend group knew that he had dibs on it. The proposal was absolutely amazing and went perfectly! It was such an honor to be there and witness this moment in their relationship.

One of my childhood friends, Grace, has an AMAZING illustration company (she did illustrations of my husband and me for our wedding). She helped Chris illustrate the cover to a book he made with all his journals from each date he and Emily had. (https://www.graceillustrates.com)

I also had the opportunity to take some photos of Chris and Emily right before their engagement. They are amazing models! I can’t wait to celebrate their love again at their wedding!

Our Wedding 10.27.18

We are married! Chris and I got married October 27th, 2018 at the Hidden Meadow and Barn. Even though our wedding ceremony was outdoors and a little cold it was hands down the best day - we still haven’t been able to stop talking about it.

As cliche as it might sound the ceremony was the best part. Our friend Jono, who is a youth pastor in Rochester, MN, was our officiant and he couldn’t have done any better. His sermon was perfect and encompassed us in an amazing way by asking all of our groomsmen and bridesmaids one word to describe each of us, tying it all together with our love for each other and of God. Afterwards we had so many people come up to us, gushing positive words about Jono’s message. During the ceremony, instead of having a unity candle, we had a canvas where Chris had painted the mountain view of where we got engaged on which we painted a large circle, representing out two lives becoming one. Lastly, we had each written out own vows in booklets where Chris drew the same illustration as the painting on the cover. Of course we both cried during the vows, but I think Chris’ vows had not just me, but everyone crying.

The amount of love and support we have in our life through God, each other, our friends, and family is astronomical and we could not be more thankful.

Summer + Calvin - Krabi, Thailand

I got to photograph an amazing couple's wedding in Thailand! Calvin and Summer got married February, 17th at the Beyond Resort Krabi. The day was perfect for their wedding on the beach. Summer made the most gorgeous bride!!! She is unbelievably stunning. I had to share some of my favorites of her.

It was my first time in Thailand and let me tell you, the travel time was worth it!! It felt amazing to be in the warmth and sun in February while Minnesota was getting snow. Also, Thai food is incredibly good. If anyone else wants me to go to Thailand to photograph their wedding, I am in.

Glacier National Park

I finally went through some photos from our road trip to Glacier National Park and just had to post them. This was our third road trip together. Our first was to the Smoky Mountains, the second to Colorado, and now here! So lucky that we have been able to travel so much together. We had three other friends go with us on our trip to Glacier National Park.

The guys all knew that Chris was going to propose on the trip and did an amazing job of making sure I was totally surprised. It was my first time in Glacier National Park and HOLY. IT IS GORGEOUS. I still can't believe how beautiful it was. The fires they are dealing with now are insane, and all one can do is hope that it doesn't get any worse. Here are some photos from our hikes.

The photo above was from the Highline Loop trail. If you are going to Glacier National Park, this is a MUST. You can find more info on it here. If you do this hike, make sure you bring more water than you expect. We saw so many people on the trail with just one bottle of water. It was one of the longer hikes, and we did it on the first day— definitely wiped us out (it mainly just wiped me out).

One of our goals is to visit every national park together. We have hit quite a few so far and love getting recommendations of what one to hit up next! Let us know what yours would be!

Get to know us.

Thanks for being here! Let me introduce myself and give you a glimpse into my life. I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota with my wonderful fiancé, Chris. We met via Tinder (GASP, I know) and are getting married in October 2018. We can't wait for the day and already are in full-blown planning mode. In our spare time we love hiking, camping, meditating, traveling, rock climbing, reading (ok, that is only my hobby), spending time with our nephews and the rest of the family, and playing cards.

Our next travel plan is to go to Thailand for a wedding I’m shooting. It will be our first time there, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!

Some fun facts about me: I LOVE tiny houses. I really try to live a minimalistic lifestyle. I read around a book a month. I am left handed.

My Photography Beginning:

I attended Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota, where I got a degree in management information systems and nonprofit management. During college I studied abroad in Vienna, Austria, which is where I realized I wanted to pursue photography professionally. I had been taking photos already for many years, but my photography never traveled outside of my family and vacations until I got back from Vienna. l love capturing the smiles and glances of love between people. I bring my camera with me everywhere I go.

I can't wait to show you my photos and get to know you!
